Single Burning Item (SBI)

According to

EN 13823, EN 13501-1

The Single Burning Item (SBI) testing method is used to test the fire resistance performance of building material products (excluding flooring materials) when exposed to heat sources. The experimental principle is to measure the changes in oxygen concentration during the test period, as well as indicators such as flue gas flow rate and CO2 concentration in the pipeline. By calculating the heat release rate at a certain moment, the maximum value of the heat release rate over time during the test process is measured, which is the FIGRA index of the heat release rate. This index is used to classify the combustion performance of building materials and products according to EN 13501-1.

Single Burning Item (SBI) consists of

According with EN13823:2020+A1 clause 4 facility

· Test room, including a small trolley guide rail device, a auxiliary burner head fixed on a bracket, an observation window on the wall, and a smoke hood.

· Trolley, used for installing samples, including a U- -profile and a main burner.

· Smoke duct section, including gas sampling section, light attenuation system, and smoke exhaust fan

· O₂: paramagnetic sensor, range 0-25%.

· CO ₂: Infrared sensor, range 0-10%.

· Computer+professional software control guides the experimental process, easy to operate, safe and reliable

· Automatically measure and calculate the heat release rate (HRR), smoke production rate (SPR), oxygen consumption, O₂, and CO₂ production during material combustion; Capable of collecting and storing various data; Can achieve visual monitoring and save experimental data.
